Connect Double Nickel to DriverLanding
Drivers who apply through your DriverLanding pages go straight into Double Nickel as applicants, already filed under the right job, and continue to your DOT application. Double Nickel then tells us when they're hired, so your reports show which ads actually produce drivers.
Your jobs already come across from Double Nickel on their own. Two things need someone with access to your company's Double Nickel account. You can do them yourself, or let us.
Option 1: Add DriverLanding as a user
- Open Double Nickel › Settings › Users and click Add User.
- Add us with this email, with a role that can edit job listings and settings:
Email drew@driverlanding.com
- Let us know it's done (email us). We'll add the tracking links and webhooks and confirm when you're connected.
We don't change your jobs, applicants, automations or anything else. You can remove our user at any time.
Option 2: Set it up yourself
Step 1: Add a DriverLanding tracking link to each job about 1 minute per job
A tracking link is how Double Nickel knows an applicant came from DriverLanding, and which job they applied for.
- Open Double Nickel › Jobs and click a job's title. Its details open on the right.
- Click Edit (top right), scroll to Tracking Links, and click the + next to it.
- Choose Custom as the type and enter DriverLanding as the name. Click Save.
That's all: we pick it up from Double Nickel by its name within a day, so there's no ID to copy or send.
Lots of jobs? Applicants reach you right away either way. Until a job has its DriverLanding link, its applicants are filed under that job's Company Website link instead. A new job you post later needs its own DriverLanding link too.
Step 2: Add two webhooks about 3 minutes
Open Double Nickel › Settings › Webhooks. Add these two, one at a time: click Add Webhook, fill in the values below, and click Save.
Webhook 1: Applicant Status Changed · tells us when a driver we sent is hired, disqualified and so on
Webhook 2: Job Listing Updated · keeps your jobs on DriverLanding in step the moment you edit them
Under Headers, click + to add the header row. Leave Timeout as it is. The header value is the same for both webhooks, and it's private to your company: please don't share it outside your team.
Your DriverLanding contact will send you a version of this page with your own URLs (YOUR-ID) and header value filled in.
Step 3: Let us know 1 minute
We'll confirm once your first applicant has gone through. That's it: there's nothing to maintain afterwards.
Questions
What do you send to Double Nickel?
The driver's name, phone, email and ZIP code, filed under the job they applied for. The driver then confirms their phone with Double Nickel's text code and continues to your DOT application, which already has those details filled in.
What does Double Nickel send back to us?
Only an applicant's ID and their status (for example Hired or Disqualified) when it changes, and your job listings when you edit them. No application details, documents or personal information.
A driver applies twice. Do you create a duplicate?
No. Double Nickel recognizes the phone number and keeps it as one applicant.
We post a new job. Anything to do?
It appears on your DriverLanding pages by itself. Add a DriverLanding tracking link to it (Step 1) so its applicants are credited to DriverLanding in Double Nickel.
